i-Ready Diagnostic Reports Now Available

October 22, 2025

Dear HKMS Families,

In this summer's mailer and again on September 2nd, we shared that HKMS students participate in benchmark assessments in language arts and mathematics. These assessments play an important role in monitoring student progress, guiding instruction, and identifying individual learning needs. At HKMS, we are committed to using this data to support each child’s academic growth.

Recently, students completed the i-Ready Diagnostic for both mathematics and reading. This adaptive assessment adjusts its difficulty based on students' responses. The goal is not to assign a score or grade, but to pinpoint your child’s individual instructional level. i-Ready is aligned with grade-level standards and provides valuable insights into your child’s foundational skills and academic readiness. i-Ready helps teachers tailor instruction and monitor growth over time. For more information about i-Ready, you can view an overview by watching this video.

Family reports for i-Ready are available now through PowerSchool, in the "portfolio" section (where SBA reports are also stored, see directions on how to access below). Linked here is a guide to helping you understand and interpret this report.

Thank you for your continued partnership in your child’s education.

Sincerely,
Steve Clapp, Ed.D.
Principal of HKMS
